Alexandre Burrows

NEW YORK -- Ottawa Senators forward Alexandre Burrows has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for roughing San Jose Sharks defenseman Dylan DeMelo during NHL Game No. 454 in San Jose on Saturday, Dec. 9, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 14:51 of the third period. Burrows was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for fighting.
The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
