Alex Saulnier's hat trick leads Wildcats over Huskies 5-2 in QMJHL @NHLdotcom

MONCTON, N.B. - Alex Saulnier had a hat trick and added an assist Thursday as the Moncton Wildcats defeated the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 5-2 in the lone game in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

James Melindy and Scott Trask also scored for Moncton (14-11-1), while Patrick Delisle-Houde and Allain Saulnier each added two assists.

Roman Will made 23 saves for the win.

Maxime St-Cyr and Robbie DeFulviis had a goal and an assist for the Huskies (7-17-2). Jeffrey Noonan made 29 saves in taking the loss.

Moncton finished 1-for-3 on the power play, while Rouyn-Noranda failed to score on three attempts.
