Right wing Alexander Radulov will not be returning to the NHL next season, Sportsnet reported Sunday.

Radulov could not find a team willing to pay his asking price and decided to sign with Salavat in the Kontinental Hockey League, according to reporter Elliotte Friedman.

Radulov, 29, has not played in the NHL since the 2011-12 season. He had three goals and four assists in nine regular-season games and one goal and five assists in eight Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Nashville Predators.

Radulov has 47 goals and 55 assists in 154 NHL games, all with Nashville. He was the Predators' first-round pick (No. 15) at the 2004 NHL Draft
