The Sportscasters Talent Agency of America (STAA) ranked the LA Kings' very own Play-by-Play Announcer Alex Faust as the top Sportscaster for 2018!
He's only been here for one season, but we think we're going to keep him.

"It's a huge honor to be even be considered among the best young broadcasters," said Faust.
"WAIT, I'M TURNING 30 NEXT YEAR?"
\Insert ugly crying emoji\
"All I know is, I want to be as youthful as Jim Fox after 30 years in this business. That dude crushes workouts like he's still playing in the NHL."
We have a hunch that Fox is envius of your youth, but he definitely has you beat on the workout front. Sorry, Faust.

STAA owner Jon Chelesnik compiled the 30 Under 30 list with input from sportscasters, industry executives and social media.
Who wouldn't love this guy and his social media content?

Accolades aren't new to Faust either. In 2011, he won the Jim Nantz Award for being the nation's most outstanding collegiate sports broadcaster.
And people are taking notice. Specifically, Alex Trebek, the host of Jeopardy,
penned Faust as one of his ideal replacements
.
Not bad for a new guy.

"This honor is certainly better than when I was introduced at our FOX Sports West meetings last year: 'everyone please welcome our new 12-year old Kings announcer, Alex!'"
"Yes, I still get carded at the bar," Faust admits. "Does that stop when you turn 30? Please?"
We can't promise he won't be carded anymore, but we can promise you can hear him on FOX Sports West all season long!
