Alexandre Burrows

Ottawa Senators forward Alexandre Burrows has waived his right to an in-person hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety for his actions against New Jersey Devils forward Taylor Hall on Tuesday.

The offer of an in-person hearing allows the Department of Player Safety to consider a suspension of more than five games. A telephone hearing will be conducted Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at 10:02 of the second period at Canadian Tire Centre. Burrows received a minor penalty for cross-checking and a minor penalty for roughing for his actions. Hall remained in the game.
The Senators defeated the Devils 5-3.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: aggressor/kneeing. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
