PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - Alex and Jesse Forsberg each scored to help the Prince George Cougars beat the Seattle Thunderbirds 3-1 in Western Hockey League play Wednesday.
Jarrett Fontaine's goal 3:41 into the first gave Prince George (21-42-2) an early lead.
Luke Lockhart scored 1:22 into the second to tie the game for Seattle (22-42-2).
But Jesse Forsberg restored the Cougars' lead on the power play nearly four minutes later, and his brother Alex added an empty-net goal in the final second of regulation.
Prince George goaltender Drew Owsely made 31 saves, while at the other end Calvin Pickard stopped 21 shots.
The Cougars remain mired at the bottom of the WHL with 44 points, just two shy of the Thunderbirds.
