BRAMPTON, Ont. - Defenceman Brad Albert scored twice, including the winning goal at 8:24 of the third period, to lift the Brampton Battalion to a 3-2 victory over the Barrie Colts in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.

The Battalion (46-19-1-1) remain two points behind the Belleville Bulls for top spot in the Eastern Conference. Each team has one game remaining on their schedule.

"It felt really good," said Albert of his two-goal performance. "We're doing the little things right and that should help us heading into the playoffs."

After Albert opened the scoring at 1:19 of the first period, Alex Hutchings tied the game at 15:45, batting a rebound out of mid air off a Darren Archibald shot. Hutchings gave Barrie (30-32-3-2) the lead at the 9:13 mark of the second, converting on a breakaway before Matt Duchene tied the game for Brampton on the power play at 13:26 of the period.

Colts goaltender Peter Di Salvo made 29 saves, while Battalion netminder Thomas McCollum stopped 24 shots.
