Alberga scores twice as Sting beat Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 6-4

SARNIA, Ont. - Domenic Alberga scored twice as the Sarnia Sting beat the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 6-4 in the Ontario Hockey League on Thursday night.

Alberga added two assists on the night, while Craig Hottot and Nick Latta each had a goal and two assists for the Sting (23-16-5). Ludvig Rensfeldt had a goal and an assist, while Brett Thompson scored his 23rd of the season in the win.

Nick Cousins, Carson Dubchak, Brett Findlay and Dylan Staples scored for the Hounds (19-22-4), who have lost 11of their last 12 games, and 19 of their last 25.

The Sting outshot the Sault 40-27, with Jack Campbell stopping 34 shots in the loss, while JP Anderson made 23 saves for the win.

The Hounds missed on their only power play chance, while the Sting scored once on four opportunities.
