OTTAWA - Adam Zemec had four goals and an assist Friday night to lead the Ottawa 67's past the Guelph Storm 10-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.
Zemec scored twice at even strength and added power play and shorthanded markers, giving him six goals and seven points in four games since joining the 67's in a trade with the Kitchener Rangers.
"I've had some problems scoring before but tonight was the big breakout," Zemec said.
"I can't take all the credit, the guys in the room gave a full 60 minutes and that's all that matters."
Jamie McGinn and Matt Lahey scored twice and Logan Couture had three assists for the 67's. Tye McGinn (Jamie's younger brother) and Cody Lindsay and also scored for the 67's (9-10-2) while Chris Perugini made 29 saves in just his sixth start of the season.
Denis Hollenstein and Peter Holland were the only Storm players to beat Perugini. Thomas McCollum stared in goal for the Storm (8-10-3) but left midway through the first period after allowing two goals on just five shots. Cody St. Jacques took over from McCollum and made 17 saves.
