Adam Lowry scores in third period as Swift Current Broncos edge Kootenay Ice 2-1 @NHL

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Adam Lowry scored in the third period to lift the Swift Current Broncos to a 2-1 win over the Kootenay Ice in Western Hockey League play Sunday.

Lowry scored at 9:59 in the third for his 11th goal of the season.

Broncos rookie Graham Black scored in the opening period to give Swift Current (12-16-3) a 1-0 lead.

Jesse Ismond tied the game in the second period for Kootenay (19-8-3), which lost its third straight.

Broncos goaltender Jon Groenheyde turned aside 32 shots for the win, while Ice netminder Nathan Lieuwen made 20 saves.
