Adam Henrique of Windsor Spitfires named Ontario Hockey League player of week @NHLdotcom

TORONTO - Windsor Spitfires forward Adam Henrique was named Ontario Hockey League player of the week Monday.

He led the league with eight points last week. Henrique had five goals, three assists and a plus-3 rating in three games.

Cody Lindsay of the Ottawa 67's and Tyler Seguin of the Plymouth Whalers were also considered.


Weal takes WHL player of week nod

CALGARY - Jordan Weal of the Regina Pats was named Western Hockey League player of the week Monday.

Weal had nine points (4-5) and a plus-6 rating in three games last week.

The WHL also nominated Calvin Pickard of the Seattle Thunderbirds for the Canadian Hockey League goaltender of the week award.


Loktionov takes AHL honour

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The American Hockey League player of the week nod was given to Manchester Monarchs centre Andrei Loktionov on Monday.

He recorded four points (3-1) in his pro debut last Saturday, a 6-3 victory over Albany.
