Aberg helps Predators complete sweep of Panthers @NHLdotcom

Swedish rookie Pontus Aberg scored twice to help the Nashville Predators complete a sweep of the Florida Panthers with a 4-1 win at Bridgestone Arena.

Aberg, Nashville's second-round pick (No. 37) in the 2012 NHL Draft, opened the scoring at 17:26 of the first period, then gave Nashville a 3-1 lead when he scored an unassisted goal against Roberto Luongo 6:22 into the third period. Kevin Fiala, Nashville's first pick (No. 11) in the 2014 draft, broke a 1-1 tie at 14:41 of the second period, and Austin Watson hit the empty net with 1:33 remaining

Alex Petrovic's point shot at 9:46 of the second period was the only one to beat Pekka Rinne, who made 22 saves. Luongo, playing for the first time in the preseason, stopped 16 of 18 shots in two periods; Dan Ellis made five saves in the third.
