Ekblad-equality 6-7

Aaron Ekblad is lending his likeness to speak out for equality.
The Florida Panthers defenseman appeared in an ad for Nike's BETRUE collection released Monday and celebrates the LGBTQ community and Pride Month in June.

Ekblad joined WNBA star Brittney Griner, and skateboarders Lacey Baker and Brian Anderson, in the minute-long spot where each athlete reveals why he or she is supporting the movement.
"Keep on trying to break those barriers," Ekblad said in the commercial while wearing a black shirt that says "Equality" in rainbow lettering, "and become a group of people and a movement that's changing the world."

Ekblad isn't the only NHL player celebrating Pride Month. Washington Capitals goalie Braden Holtby announced
he'll be marching
in the 2017 Capital Pride Parade in Washington on Saturday for the second straight year.
