67Is duo of Kiriakou, Cowick net pair in 7-3 win over Attack @NHL

OTTAWA - Thomas Kiriakou and Corey Cowick each scored two goals Sunday to lead the Ottawa 67's to a 7-3 victory over the Owen Sound Attack in Ontario Hockey League action.

Kiriakou, an overage centre, opened the scoring in the first period and added a power-play marker in the second. Meanwhile, Cowick recorded power-play and short-handed goals in the final frame as the 67's (10-8-0-0) made it a busy afternoon for Attack goaltender Beskorowany.

Ottawa, which won for the second straight game, outshot Owen Sound 47-24 and it was only a strong 40-save performance by the Dallas Stars' prospect that kept the score from getting out of hand against a well-rounded 67's attack.

"I'm glad I got those goals," Kiriakou said, "but everyone contributed today. You can't just have the first line, second line going out there. You need the fourth line, the third line, you need everybody contributing."

Logan Couture and Tyler Toffoli each had a goal and an assist and Riley Sonnenburg also scored for the 67's while Stephen Blunden and Michael Latta each chipped in with a pair of assists. Chris Perugini made 21 saves to earn the victory in goal.

Andrew Wilkins led the Attack (6-7-2-1) with a short-handed goal and an assist. Mike Lomas and rookie Myles Doan, with his first OHL goal, also scored for Owen Sound, which has lost back-to-back contests. Joey Hishon contributed two assists.
