Columbus handles Buffalo, which had three players make NHL debut @NHLdotcom

Nick Foligno and Dalton Prout scored 2:09 apart late in the second period, and the Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Buffalo Sabres 4-1 at First Niagara Center on Friday.

Foligno beat rookie goaltender Jason Kasdorf from the left circle at 15:16 to break a 1-1 tie. Prout made it 3-1 at 17:25, beating Kasdorf from the top of the left circle.

Rookie forwards Cole Schneider and Evan Rodrigues and rookie goaltender Jason Kasdorf will each make their NHL debut Friday when the Buffalo Sabres play the Columbus Blue Jackets at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, N.Y.

Schneider and Rodrigues were recalled Thursday to join the Sabres for their final practice of the season. Kasdorf was signed to an entry-level contract by Buffalo on March 14.
