CALGARY -- Joe Pavelski scored 19 seconds into overtime and Martin Jones made a career-high 47 saves to help the San Jose Sharks to a 2-1 win against the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome on Monday.

Brent Burns scored for the Sharks (36-23-6), who have won three of their past four games and are 18-5-4 since Jan. 9. San Jose entered action Monday in third in the Pacific Division, four points back of the second-place Los Angeles Kings, and six behind the division-leading Anaheim Ducks.

"Right now you've got to keep pace with everybody," Pavelski said. "Everybody's playing good. We understand our game's got to improve over the last week, week and a half. It can get better."

Karlsson back in Sharks lineup

Forward to face Flames after missing two games with undisclosed injury

CALGARY -- Forward Melker Karlsson will return to the lineup when the San Jose Sharks visit the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome on Monday.

Karlsson has missed the past two games because of an undisclosed injury.
