CALGARY -- Joe Pavelski scored 19 seconds into overtime and Martin Jones made a career-high 47 saves to help the San Jose Sharks to a 2-1 win against the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome on Monday.
Brent Burns scored for the Sharks (36-23-6), who have won three of their past four games and are 18-5-4 since Jan. 9. San Jose entered action Monday in third in the Pacific Division, four points back of the second-place Los Angeles Kings, and six behind the division-leading Anaheim Ducks.
"Right now you've got to keep pace with everybody," Pavelski said. "Everybody's playing good. We understand our game's got to improve over the last week, week and a half. It can get better."
