Gudas powers Flyers past Blue Jackets

Defenseman scores first two goals of season in victory

PHILADELPHIA -- Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas hadn't scored a goal in 66 games. He more than made up for it Saturday.

Gudas had two goals and two assists in the Philadelphia Flyers' 6-0 victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Wells Fargo Center.

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas scored from the red line against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.

Gudas was on the right-wing boards when he took a slap shot that went past goaltender Curtis McElhinney's right-hand blocker at 11:45. It was Gudas' first goal of the season and eighth in his 184 NHL games.

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Flyers expect to have forward Brayden Schenn in the lineup against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday. 

Schenn sustained a head injury during the third period of the Flyers' 4-0 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday. 

"See how I feel after the skate here and go from there," he said after the Flyers' morning skate.
