COLUMBUS - The Detroit Red Wings will be without starting goaltender Petr Mrazek because of an illness, so Jimmy Howard will start against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena on Thursday.

The Red Wings are one point behind the Philadelphia Flyers for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Eastern Conference, which gives reason for Howard not to overlook Columbus, which defeated Detroit 5-3 on March 8.
