DEVILS VS. AVALANCHE
Tonight is the first of two meetings between the Devils and Avalanche this season. The clubs will face off for their season-series finale Mar. 9 at Pepsi Center. New Jersey was 0-2-0 vs. Colorado in 2015-16 and was out-scored, 5-1.
The Devils are 4-4-2 against Central Division teams and are 9-9-5 vs. Western Conference opponents this season. New Jersey is 19-12-6 at home vs. the Avalanche/Nordiques franchise but have not defeated the club at Prudential Center since Mar. 15, 2011 (3 games, 0-2-1).
Beau Bennett has three points (2g-1a) in his previous two games vs. the Avs. Taylor Hall recorded eight goals and three assists (11pts) in his last 10 games vs. Colorado.
