The 2024 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game will be played at Avenir Centre in Moncton, New Brunswick, on Jan. 24, 2024.

The annual event will be a top showcase for some of the leading 2024 NHL Draft prospects who play in the three leagues that make up the Canadian Hockey League: the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, the Ontario Hockey League and the Western Hockey League.

Players for the game will be selected by NHL teams in conjunction with NHL Central Scouting.

"Moncton will be a fantastic host city for the CHL Top Prospects Game in 2024," Central Scouting vice president Dan Marr said. "The Avenir Centre is a modern, world-class facility for the game and to conduct the on- and off-ice testing segments that take place at this event.

"The fan base is very supportive, and Moncton will build off the solid reputation they built in co-hosting [the 2023] World Junior event. It will be an entertaining event for players, scouts, media, and fans."

Among the top prospects who could play in the game are Regina (WHL) forward Tanner Howe, who is third on his team with 82 points (34 goals, 48 assists) in 65 games; Spokane forward Berkly Catton, who is fourth among first-year WHL players with 53 points (22 goals, 31 assists) in 61 games; and Saginaw (OHL) defenseman Zayne Parekh, who became the first 16-year-old defenseman in the OHL to score 20 goals.

"We are thrilled to bring the 2024 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game to Moncton for the first time," CHL president Dan MacKenzie said. "With a surplus of CHL talent eligible for the 2024 NHL Draft, we look forward to bringing the stars of tomorrow to the Maritimes."

In 2023, the event was held at Langley Events Centre in Langley, British Columbia, and featured 40 of the top prospects for the 2023 Upper Deck NHL Draft, including Regina forward Connor Bedard, the projected No. 1 pick.

Bedard was one of 13 players in Central Scouting's midterm ranking of North American skaters to play in the game. He was captain for Team Red in a 4-2 loss to Team White.

The 2023 draft will be held June 28-29 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
