Roman Josi, D --He led NHL defensemen with 96 points last season, the most in Nashville Predators history, and the highest total in a single season by a defenseman since Phil Housley had 97 for the Winnipeg Jets in 1992-93. The 32-year-old, who also led NHL defensemen in assists (73), even-strength points (59), power-play goals (11) and shots on goal (281) last season, is fourth at the position in NHL.com's rankings behind Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche, Victor Hedman of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Adam Fox of the New York Rangers. He is a fringe top 15 overall player.

Juuse Saros, G -- Last season, he was third in the NHL with 38 wins, a career high, and leads active NHL goalies in save percentage since 2015-16 (.920; minimum 200 games). With Saros and Josi, the Predators are one of three teams (Lightning with Andrei Vasilevskiy, Hedman; Rangers with Igor Shesterkin, Fox) to have players in the top five of both NHL.com's goalie and defenseman rankings. Saros should benefit from Nashville acquiring veteran shutdown defenseman Ryan McDonagh from Tampa Bay.

Filip Forsberg, LW -- The left wing, who re-signed with Nashville for eight years, had NHL career highs in goals (42; tied for ninth in the League), assists (42), points (84; shattered previous best of 64) and power-play points (27) despite being limited to 69 games. Forsberg, who also plays a physical game (112 hits last season; 1.6 hits per game), should be considered a top 20 fantasy left wing and fringe top 50 overall player with his top-line spot solidified, and elite power-play exposure to Josi.

Matt Duchene, RW -- He scored an NHL career high 43 goals last season, the eighth most in the League, and set a Predators record. The forward also had more shots on goal (228; second on Nashville behind Josi) than Forsberg (226). Duchene, who was tied for third in the NHL in power-play goals (16) last season, has thrived since shifting from center to wing and can sustain his success on a line with Forsberg and either center Ryan Johansen (63 points last season) or Mikael Granlund (64).
