Bernie kids Mile High Mites Learn To Play community amateur hockey

Registration for summer and fall sessions of the Colorado Avalanche's 2019 Mile High Mites Learn to Play program is open.
The Avalanche, in conjunction with the NHL, NHL Players' Association, USA Hockey and CAHA, works with youth associations to host different on-ice sessions throughout Colorado and Wyoming. Each location hosts its own six-week program.

Learn to Play is designated for kids ages 5-9 years old and is only $190 per player (some age exceptions may be made for 4 and 10-year-olds). The pricing includes on-ice instructional sessions from USA Hockey-certified coaches, including one session with tutoring from Avalanche alums Milan Hejduk and John-Michael Liles.
In addition, each player will receive a complete set of brand new CCM hockey gear to keep.
The Learn to Play initiative was developed by the league and players' association to offer more families and kids a chance to experience the sport. Since its inception four seasons ago, the Mile High Mites program has gotten 3,300 kids suited up and on the ice.
Sessions are filling up and registration at many of the locations is closing soon.
