2017 Development Camp Travis Barron 1

The Colorado Avalanche announced the 29-man roster for its annual development camp on Tuesday, which includes six players that were selected this past weekend at the 2018 NHL Draft in Dallas.
The Avs' 2018 picks that will participate include 16th overall-draft choice Martin Kaut and fellow forwards Sampo Ranta (No. 78), Tyler Weiss (No. 109), Brandon Saigeon (No. 140) and Nikolai Kovalenko (No. 171). Colorado's second selection from the draft, goaltender Justus Annunen (64th overall choice), will also be in attendance.

The Avalanche's annual camp begins on Thursday with medical and physical testing before the players take the ice at the team's practice facility, Family Sports Center, for the first of three skating days on Friday. There will be a morning and an afternoon session on Friday while the next two days will feature on-ice practices in the morning.
After the final session at Family Sports on Sunday morning, the players will head north for a three-on-three tournament in the afternoon at EPIC's (Edlora Pool Ice Center) blue arena in Fort Collins.
The development camp will wrap up with team activities in Northern Colorado on Monday. All on-ice sessions are all free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
Six members of Colorado's 2017 draft class will also partake in the camp, including defensemen Cale Makar, who was the fourth overall selection that year, and Conor Timmins, the 32nd overall pick. They will join forwards Nick Henry, Igor Shvyrev and Denis Smirnov, as well as goaltender Petr Kvaca, who were also drafted by the team last year.
Recent signees Josh Anderson, Travis Barron, Josh Dickinson and Pavel Francouz will also be in attendance.
The roster also features nine camp invites, including forwards Matthew Boucher, Robbie Holmes, Vladislav Kotkov, Logan O'Connor and Cole Reinhardt and defensemen Alex Breton, Kevin Davis, Turner Ottenbreit and Sean Strange.
