Dad Trip Airplane Nashville 2018 November 25

It was a travel day for the players, staff and their guests during the 2018 Colorado Avalanche dad/mentor trip to Nashville.
After Colorado defeated Dallas 3-2 on Saturday night, everyone was at the airport by noon for a 1 p.m. flight to the Music City.

It was a chance for the fathers and mentors to see how the club flies to visiting cities. Each guest sat next to their son on the plane and enjoyed some bonding time during the two and a half hour flight. There was a light meal served on the plane with people choosing between chicken, salmon or beef and a variety of green vegetables.

The charter flight left a little after 1 p.m., but the plane made good time in the air and landed in Nashville at 4:30 p.m.
From there, it was off the plane and on to one of the three buses for a quick trip to the team's downtown hotel. Everyone had about 45 minutes to relax and get stuff in order once the squad arrived before heading back onto the bus for a 6:15 p.m. team dinner.
The dinner featured a variety of greens, steak, lobster and mashed potatoes and plenty of laughs among the sons and fathers. The night closed with each player, coach and staff member introducing their dad or mentor to the group and talking a little bit about them.
Monday will be a busy day for the players and their fathers, as Colorado has a practice scheduled and then a group event at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
