Sioux City right wing Eeli Tolvanen, an A-rated skater on NHL Central Scouting's preliminary players to watch list for the 2017 NHL Draft, was named the United States Hockey League CCM Forward of the Week on Monday after he had two goals and four points in two games last week.

It is the second time Tolvanen (5-foot-10, 170 pounds) has won the award. In 11 games this season he's tied for fourth in the league with seven goals and tied for sixth with 12 points. Sioux City is 4-1-0 when Tolvanen scores a goal.

"Eeli Tolvanen is showing all the signs of being a special player for the draft," said Dan Marr, NHL Director of Central Scouting. "He's one of those players that is always noticeable in a game with his speed, smarts and skills and also with his work ethic, energy and competitiveness."

Tolvanen is committed to Boston College next season.
