CALGARY -- Mika Zibanejad had a natural hat trick in 2:38 in the third period to help the Ottawa Senators rally for a 6-4 win against the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday.

"We really needed this one," Zibanejad said. "We talked about it before we went out there in the third. We talked about how important this game was for us. We really needed this win. We had to win. It's nice to come out with two points here."

Mike Zibanejad's goal is confirmed in the 3rd period after a Flames challenge for goaltender interference

At 7:59 of the third period in the Senators/Flames game, Calgary requested a Coach's Challenge to review whether an Ottawa player interfered with Calgary goaltender Joni Ortio prior to Mika Zibanejad's goal. 

After reviewing all available replays and consulting with NHL Hockey Operations staff, the Referee confirmed no goaltender interference infractions occurred before the puck crossed the goal line.

CALGARY -- Defenseman Kris Russell will be a game-time decision for a second straight game when the Calgary Flames host the Ottawa Senators at Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday.
 
Russell has missed the past six games because of a lower-body injury.
 
His absence has fueled speculation the pending unrestricted free agent will be traded before the 2016 NHL Trade Deadline at 3 p.m. ET on Feb. 29.
