DEVILS VS. KINGS
Tonight is the second of two games between the Devils and Kings in 2016-17. New Jersey lost its first match-up, 4-2, vs. Los Angeles on Nov. 24 at Staples Center. John Moore and Nick Lappin each scored for New Jersey while Cory Schneider stopped 24 of 27 shots in the loss.
The Devils are 5-3-2 against the Pacific Division and are 9-7-4 vs. Western Conference opponents. New Jersey won their last game against Los Angeles at the Prudential Center, 1-0, when Keith Kinkaid stopped 28 shots for the first shutout of his NHL career. The club is 4-3-0 vs. LA since the 2013-14 season.
New Jersey has won four of its last five games entering tonight.
