Defenseman Martin Marincin signed a two-year, $2.5 million contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday. The contract has an average annual value of $1.25 million.
Marincin, 24, who was a restricted free agent, was scheduled to have an arbitration hearing in Toronto on Tuesday. He had one goal, seven points and 34 penalty minutes in 65 games last season.

In three seasons with the Maple Leafs and Edmonton Oilers, Marincin has two goals, 16 assists and 66 penalty minutes in 150 regular-season games.
The Maple Leafs recently avoided arbitration hearings with forward Peter Holland and defenseman Frank Corrado, who each signed a one-year contract on Monday.
