The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday that forward Jiri Tlusty and defenceman Staffan Kronwall have been assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League (AHL). Tlusty played 13 games collecting five points (three goals, two assists) with two penalty minutes. Kronwall averaged 10:42 of ice-time in 10 games while registering two penalty minutes.
Now in their third season as the Maple Leafs' primary affiliate, the Marlies currently sit atop the AHL North Division with a record of 14-4-3.
