Six Players Assigned to Marlies

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that six players have been assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. Forwards Simon Gamache, Ben Ondrus, Tony Salmelainen and Jeremy Williams, defenceman Jay Harrison, and goaltender Scott Clemmensen have all been assigned to the Maple Leafs’ primary affiliate.

The Marlies will open their 2007-08 regular season on Saturday, October 6 when they host the Rochester Americans at Ricoh Coliseum.  Game time is 4:30 p.m.

Now in their third season as the Maple Leafs’ primary affiliate, the Marlies are one of 29 teams competing in the American Hockey League’s 73rd season.  For ticket information to the Marlies’ next home game at Ricoh Coliseum at Exhibition Place, call 416-597-PUCK.
