Royals Renew Affiliation With Leafs, Marlies

Reading, PA –The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that the organization has renewed its primary affiliation relationship with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. Also, for the first time in team history, the Royals have entered into an affiliation relationship with the Boston Bruins of the NHL. Under the affiliation arrangements, during the 2009-10 season, the Royals will receive players designated for assignment to the ECHL within the professional development systems of Toronto and Boston.


The Royals open the 2009-10 ECHL season on Thursday, October 15, 2009 (7:05 pm) when the Kalamazoo Wings make their first visit ever to the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania.
