Practice Update: October 16

The Leafs were back to work on Friday as they get set to host the New York Rangers Saturday at the ACC (7 p.m., CBC, AM640).

Phil Kessel took  part in his second straight practice but he remains out of the lineup for a little bit longer.

Priro to practice, Jonas Gustavsson skated with no equipment as he recovers from his groin injury.

Mike Van Ryn spoke with the media and announced that he will be having re-alignment knee surgery on October 22nd. His recovery time is expected to be six months.
