The Leafs held their standard optional morning skate on Saturday. Here's a sampling of what the Leafs had to say ahead of their game against the Philadelphia Flyers tonight...
Peter Holland on the Flyers:
It always seems to be a man's game out there when you play the Flyers. Even though they may have lost a couple they're going to come in here and you look at their lineup, they've got depth. It's going to be a good matchup and hopefully a good rebound game for us tonight.
Morgan Rielly on moving past the Carolina game:
It's a tough loss, we were rolling there for a little bit and to move backward like that is not easy. We're over it, we've moved on from it, we're just worried about playing here tonight.
Stéphane Robidas on snapping out of slumps:
Whenever things don't go your way you want to do so well and you try to do too much. Sometimes trying to do too much is like not doing enough. Just simplifying your game and keeping things simple and trying to stay positive — it's not easy when things aren't going your way. You want to do well and you're pressing too much and that's when you put yourself in bad positions.
Randy Carlyle on Philadelphia:
They're a proud group, there's a lot of history behind their hockey club and aggressiveness that follows that team. That's the way they build there team is on hard work, an honest day's work, an honest day's pay, a hardhat town. All of those things resonate through their organization and they have for years.
