Logan Shaw’s stock is on the rise.

The lanky centreman saw his position improve by 10 points between Central Scouting’s mid-term and final rankings.

Like many, he points to the versatility of his game as evidence of his potential.

“I’m not just a goal scorer, I’m a two-way player. I’m not just a hockey player. I am an all around good person."

Shaw said you can’t take the Cape Breton out of the boy. Then again, who would want to.

“I’m a nice person I guess. I’m from Cape Breton and there are a lot of good people there. I can bring a lot of heart and determination to a team.

“Where I grew up in the Maritimes you had to travel five hours to Halifax to get some good competition. “Where I am from you don’t give up. We work hard. We don’t quit."
