TORONTO -- Former Leafs goalie Curtis Joseph won't play tonight as Toronto travels to Detroit (7:30 pm, Leafs TV) for its third exhibition tilt of the season.

Joesph won't be in net next Saturday either when the Red Wings come to Hamilton for a Leafs home game.

"I'm not disappointed, it's exhibition, I mean, come on ... there's lots of time yet," Joseph told the Toronto Star. Cujo has his first game in a Red Wings' uniform against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday.

Trevor Kidd and Mikael Tellvquist get the call for the Leafs according to GM/coach Pat Quinn.

Alyn McCauley and Shayne Corson are still being hampered by groin/hip injuries and won't play against their original-six rival. McCauley hopes to play Wednesday night when the Leafs host the Buffalo Sabres. Corson is shooting for either Friday night in Buffalo or Saturday in Hamilton against the Wings.

Others expected in the lineup: Carlo Colaiacovo, Bryan McCabe, Tomas Kaberle, Robert Svehla, Anders Eriksson and Jay Harrison on defence. Mats Sundin, Robert Reichel, Tie Domi, Craig Mills, Brad Boyes, Alexander Mogilny, Nik Antropov, Josh Holden and Luca Cereda will be among the forwards.
