The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Thursday that goaltender Jonas Gustavsson
will undergo a
repeat heart ablation procedure tomorrow. The first procedure took place on September 15, 2009 during training camp. The determination was made after Gustavsson was examined on Wednesday by medical specialists.
Gustavsson played the first period in Tuesday’s game at Montreal and stopped all eight shots in the Leafs’ 3-0 win.
Defenceman Carl Gunnarsson
sustained a hyper-extended left elbow in Monday’s game against Buffalo. He is expected to be out of the lineup for approximately six weeks.
The Maple Leafs will play on the road this evening at Columbus at 7 p.m on Leafs TV.
