The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Thursday that the team has recalled forward Greg McKegg
from the Toronto Marlies (AHL). Joffrey Lupul
suffered a lower body injury during the second period of last night’s game against Boston and has been placed on injured reserve. Lupul will return to Toronto for further evaluation. It was also determined after last night’s game that Peter Holland
would return to Toronto for further evaluation following an upper body injury.
McKegg, 22, has skated in 23 regular season games with the Marlies this season, collecting 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) and 14 penalty minutes. The St. Thomas, Ontario native made his NHL debut on February 1, 2014 against the Ottawa Senators.
The Maple Leafs continue their season-long seven game road trip tomorrow night when they take on the Minnesota Wild at 8 p.m. (ET).
