Marlies Take First Two Games From Admirals

The Toronto Marlies defeated the Milwaukee Admirals, AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators, by a score of 5-2 tonight in Wisconsin to take a 2-0 series lead.

Brandon Kozun would open the scoring for the Marlies at 18:51 of the first period. Sam Carrick gave Toronto a 2-0 lead notching his third goal of the series on a powerplay at 8:07 of the middle frame. Calle Jarnkrok pulled the Admirals to within one less than a minute into the third period. The Marlies would respond with back-to-back powerplay tallies from Brandon Kozun and Korbinian Holzer. Bryan Rodney scored a late goal for Milwaukee before Jerry D’Amigo added an empty net marker to secure a 5-2 victory.
