The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed forward Tyler Ennis to a one-year contract worth $650,000.

Ennis, 28, joins the Maple Leafs after collecting 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) in 73 games with the Minnesota Wild in 2017-18. In 492 career regular season NHL games with Wild and Buffalo Sabres, the Edmonton, Alberta native has registered 105 goals and 153 assists for 258 points. He has also recorded eight points (three goals, five assists) in 14 career Stanley Cup playoff games. Ennis was originally selected by Buffalo in the first round (26th overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft.
Internationally, Ennis has won gold medals with Canada at the 2009 IIHF World Junior Championships and the 2015 IIHF World Championship.
