Maple Leafs sign Kasimir Kaskisuo to entry-level contract

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Monday that the team has signed goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo to a two-year entry level contract (effective 2016-17 and 2017-18).

Kaskisuo, 22, appeared in 39 regular season games at the University of Minnesota-Duluth (NCHC) during the 2015-16 season, posting a record of 19-15-5 along with a 0.923 save percentage and a 1.92 goals against average. As a freshman at Minnesota-Duluth in 2014-15, the Vantaa, Finland native played in 36 regular season games, amassing a record of 18-14-3, a 0.917 save percentage and a 2.30 goals against average.

The Maple Leafs return to the ice tonight when they travel to Tampa Bay for a 7:30 p.m. game against the Lightning.
