David Nonis, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Friday the hockey club has signed forward Jamie Devane
(dah-VAN) to a two-year contract.
Devane, 23, played two games for the Maple Leafs in 2013-14 going scoreless. The 6-5, 217-pound forward made his NHL debut October 5 versus the Ottawa Senators.
Devane also played 55 games for the Toronto Marlies in the American Hockey League last season, collecting eight points (four goals, four assists) and leading the team with 146 penalty minutes.
The native of Mississauga, Ontario was selected by Toronto in the third round, 68th overall, at the 2009 Entry Draft.
