Maple Leafs Sign Free Agent Centre Dominic Moore

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed free agent centre Dominic Moore to a one-year contract worth $1 million.
Moore, 36, joins the Maple Leafs after collecting 25 points (11 goals, 14 assists) in 82 games with the Boston Bruins in 2016-17. Over the course of his 12-year NHL career, the Thornhill, Ontario native has registered 270 points (100 goals, 170 assists) while posting a 53.3% face-off win percentage in 847 regular season games. He has also recorded 29 points in 99 career playoff games. This marks Moore's second tenure with the Maple Leafs after he spent parts of the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons in Toronto.

Moore was originally selected by the New York Rangers in the third round (95th overall) of the 2000 NHL Draft. He was honoured with the Bill Masterton Trophy as the NHL player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey in 2014.
