Maple Leafs Sign Four Players

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed forwards Adam Cracknell and Josh Jooris as well as defencemen Martin Marincin and Jordan Subban.

Cracknell, 32, played in four games with the New York Rangers and one game with the Dallas Stars while also suiting up in 69 total American Hockey League games with the Hartford Wolf Pack and Laval Rocket. In 208 career regular season NHL games with the St. Louis Blues, Columbus Blue Jackets, Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Dallas Stars and New York Rangers, he has recorded 21 goals and 22 assists. The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native has collected 271 points (126 goals, 145 assists) in 484 career regular season AHL games. Cracknell was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the ninth round (279th overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft. His one-year contract is worth $650,000.
 
Jooris, 27, registered six points (three goals, three assists) in 31 games with the Carolina Hurricanes during the 2017-18 season before being traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins on February 26, 2018 where he appeared in nine games. Jooris also played five games with the AHL's Charlotte Checkers and six games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. In 213 career regular season NHL games with the Calgary Flames, New York Rangers, Arizona Coyotes, Carolina and Pittsburgh, Jooris has recorded 23 goals and 32 assists. The Burlington, Ontario native has registered 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) in 86 career regular season AHL games. His one-year contract is worth $650,000.
 
Marincin, 26, played in two games for the Maple Leafs last season while registering 20 points (four goals, 16 assists) in 52 regular season games and seven points (one goal, six assists) in 20 playoff games with the 2017-18 Calder Cup champion Toronto Marlies. In 177 career regular season NHL games with the Maple Leafs and Edmonton Oilers, he has collected 25 points (three goals, 22 assists). Marincin, who was acquired by the Maple Leafs in a June 27, 2015 trade with the Oilers, was selected by Edmonton in the second round (46th overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft. His one-year contract is worth $800,000.
 
Subban, 23, joins the Maple Leafs after splitting the 2017-18 season with the AHL's Utica Comets and Ontario Reign after being traded from the Vancouver Canucks to the Los Angeles Kings on December 7, 2017. In 184 regular season AHL games, the Rexdale, Ontario native has collected 85 points (31 goals, 54 assists) while adding two goals and an assist in four playoff games. Subban, a 2017 AHL All-Star, was originally selected by Vancouver in the fourth round (115th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft. His one-year, two-way contract carries an NHL salary of $650,000.
