The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that the hockey club has agreed to terms on a two-way contract with defenceman Andrew Campbell
. Campbell had previously agreed to an AHL contract with the Toronto Marlies in July.
Campbell, 27, appeared in 33 regular season games last season with the Arizona Coyotes collecting one assist and 10 penalty minutes. Campbell also skated in 40 regular season games with the American Hockey League’s Portland Pirates where he registered 12 points (three goals, nine assists) and 30 penalty minutes. The Caledonia, Ontario native has appeared in 36 career NHL games with the Arizona Coyotes and Los Angeles Kings. Campbell is a former third round draft pick (74th overall) of the Los Angeles Kings in 2008.
