Maple Leafs recall Sam Carrick from Marlies

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday that forward Sam Carrick has been recalled from the Toronto Marlies (AHL) on an emergency basis. Forward Rich Clune has been loaned to the Marlies.

Carrick, 24, has collected 33 points (15 goals, 18 assists) in 50 games with the Marlies this season. Originally selected by the Maple Leafs in the fifth round (144th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Carrick skated in 16 games with the Leafs during the 2014-15 season.

The Maple Leafs host the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight at Air Canada Centre at 7 p.m.
