The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that goaltender Jamie Hodson has been recalled from the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League.
Hodson, 22, has split the season between St. John's and Greensboro of the East Coast Hockey League. In three games with St. John's, he has a record of 0-1-0 with a 3.10 goals against average.
In 14 games with Greensboro, he has a record of 9-4-1 with a 2.43 goals against average and .938 save percentage. Hodson was also a member of Canada's Gold medal winning team at the Spengler Cup in Switzerland.
The native of Brandon, Manitoba appeared in one 2002 NHL preseason game for Toronto September 22 vs. Ottawa and earned the victory by stopping 15 of the 16 shots he faced. He was Toronto's third choice, 69th overall in the 1998 Entry Draft.
Hodson is expected to join the team in Toronto today and will wear sweater number 35.
