Maple Leafs recall Healey

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Thursday that they have recalled right-winger Paul Healey from the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League.

Healey, 26, has played in 27 games with St. John's this season and has scored 11 goals and 12 assists with 20 penalty minutes. He has collected eight points in his last five AHL games. Last season with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL he recorded 71 points (39 goals, 32 assists) with 34 minutes in penalties.

The native of Edmonton, Alberta has played in six career NHL games and has been held pointless with 12 penalty minutes. He was signed as a free agent by Toronto July 24, 2001 and was originally Philadelphia's seventh choice, 192nd overall in the 1993 Entry Draft.

Healey, at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, will wear sweater number 26.
