Maple Leafs Recall Druken

(Nov. 21, 2003) - TORONTO -- The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Friday that they have recalled forward Harold Druken from the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League.

Druken, 24, has played eight games for St. John's collecting 11 points (seven goals, four assists) with eight penalty minutes. He leads the team in goals, powerplay goals (3) and game winning goals (2).

The native of St. John's, Newfoundland has played 137 career NHL games for Vancouver, Carolina and Toronto collecting 59 points (27 goals, 32 assists) with 34 penalty minutes. He has also played four career NHL playoff games collecting one assist.

Druken was acquired by Toronto from Carolina in exchange for Allan Rourke May 29, 2003. He was originally Vancouver's third choice, 36th overall in the 1997 Entry Draft. Druken will wear sweater number 18.
