Maple Leafs reassign Carrick to Marlies

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Wednesday that the club has reassigned forward Sam Carrick to the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Carrick, 23, has collected two points (one goal, one assist) in 16 regular season games with the Maple Leafs this season. Carrick has also appeared in 50 regular season games with the Marlies, registering 25 points (seven goals, 18 assists) and 76 penalty minutes.

The Maple Leafs return to the ice tonight when they travel to Buffalo for a 7:30 p.m. game. The Marlies play host to the Chicago Wolves (AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues) tonight at 7 p.m.
