Maple Leafs Re-sign Nathan Perrott

" The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Monday that the club has re-signed forward Nathan Perrott to a multi-year contract. In addition, the club has signed forward Robb Palahnuk to a one year American Hockey League contract. In keeping with club policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

Perrott, 27, appeared in one NHL game last season with Nashville and collected five penalty minutes. He spent the majority of the season in the American Hockey League splitting the year between Milwaukee and St. John's.

He collected three points (one goal, two assists) with 106 penalty minutes with Milwaukee. He was acquired by Toronto from Nashville in exchange for Bob Wren December 31, 2002.

Perrott spent the rest of the season with St. John's and collected 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) with 97 penalty minutes in 36 games.

The native of Owen Sound, Ontario has played 23 career NHL games registering three points (one goal, two assists) with 79 penalty minutes. He was originally New Jersey's second choice, 44th overall, in the 1995 Entry Draft.

Palahnuk appeared in two games for St. John's last season and was held pointless.

He spent the majority of the season with Memphis of the Central Hockey League (CHL) and collected 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists) with 54 penalty minutes in 48 games. He also appeared in 14 CHL playoff games and collected eight points (two goals, six assists) with eight penalty minutes
